The Last Game of the Season

I do love football. It sucks that I could not care one whit less who wins this game, but I’ll milk every second out of it since we won’t get anymore for a while. (And it’s not even time to start gardening in earnest. My, this time of year does suck! :D)

I’m going to make a special appetizer meal for the occasion. On deck:

Nachos – homemade beans, shredded cheese, salsa, homemade guacamole over chips.

Twice-baked potatoes – innards mashed up with mayo, salt and pepper, cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, stuffed back in the skin and baked again.

Veggie plate – carrot sticks, celery sticks, broccoli, cauliflower, bell pepper, with ranch if you must dip them (I personally like to taste the vegetable)

Cold cuts – a sliced baguette and Ritz crackers, brie cheese, smoked gouda, sliced cheddar, pastrami, canadian bacon, ham

Good times.

Anyone have plans? Anyone hate football and taking this opportunity to have a quiet lunch at some abandoned, tv-less restaurant, or to go shopping while everyone is home glued to their tv?
